Diwali celebration with special children
The festival of Diwali brings new light of hope every year, but this time the light was unique among the special children at Vatsalya Vatika, an orphanage in Bahadarabad, Haridwar. Shri Devendra Mohan ji, Founder of Rajni Care Foundation (RCF) along with the Haridwar team comprising Priya Bajaj, Rajendra Dutta, Sonika Gulati, Sangeeta Maurya, Rakesh Maurya, Vinod, Umesh and Anita Dutta decided to celebrate the festival of Diwali this year with 85 special children. It was not just a celebration but an effort to bring light of happiness in the lives of these children.
This special event started with the distribution of sweets and snacks. The smiles on the faces of the children, who are generally deprived of such sweetness and celebration in their lives, were worth seeing. It was not just sweets but a little happiness that filled the hearts of the children with the feeling of festival. Shri Devendra Mohan Ji, Rajendra Dutta Ji and Priya Bajaj Ji along with the children distributed sweets to each child individually, which brought a different excitement on the faces of the children.
A special part of this grand celebration was when the children accepted all the gifts with devotional bhajans and prayers to the Lord. Their melodious voices enthralled everyone and the entire atmosphere became devotional. This moment shows that Diwali is not limited to only lights and crackers, but this festival also symbolizes awakening the light within us. The bhajans sung by the children made everyone present there feel true joy and divine feeling.
Finally, crackers were organized, which brought a different excitement among the children. The sparkle of joy in the eyes of the children and their laughter made this effort of Haridwar team worthwhile. The experience of the buzz and light of crackers was priceless for these children. Every child was completely lost in this moment, as if this light of Diwali was dispelling the darkness of their lives.
The Haridwar team of Rajni Care Foundation proved that festivals are not meant to be celebrated only with your family or some special people of the society. The real Diwali is when you spread a ray of happiness and light in someone's life. This effort of all the volunteers set an example that the real meaning of the festival is meaningful only when we share it with those sections of the society, who are often away from such happiness.
This Diwali became memorable for those special children, whose eyes had a different sparkle on this day. Rajni Care Foundation proved that real happiness is found when you try to make someone else's life better. This Haridwar team of RCF not only brought a day of happiness in the lives of these children but also gave a message to the society that the true spirit of the festival is revealed only when we light the lamp of love and compassion in someone's life.
Such programs not only bring change in the lives of children but also spread the message of positivity in the society.
